Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

SEA LIFE Melbourne is closed

As part of the Victorian Government’s latest restrictions to slow the spread of COVID-19, we are temporarily closing SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium. The move is consistent with the closure of other indoor entertainment venues and postponement of events in order to prevent further outbreaks.

The closure is effective as of 5:30pm on Wednesday 8 July.

To be kept up to date on when our attractions are scheduled to re-open, please visit our websites.

Rest assured, whilst taking precautionary social distancing and hygiene measures, staff will continue to feed, care for and provide enrichment opportunities to maintain the welfare of all of the animals in our care.

 

Can I use my ticket at a later date?

If you have already purchased tickets to our attractions, you may use these tickets for any future date through to December 24, 2020.


When will you reopen?

The Victorian Government has advised the Stage 3 lockdown will last for six weeks, however, we will be in regular contact with authorities to ensure we have the most up-to-date advice on when we can reopen.

 

I’ve bought a Merlin Annual Pass – what happens?

We want to reassure all Victorian Merlin Annual Passholders that we will be extending your passes by 60 days. You won’t need to do anything as your pass will be updated automatically. We will let Passholders know further updates via email, our social media channels and our website: https://www.merlinannualpass.com.au/whats-on/covid-19-information-and-update 

 

I’ve bought a Penguin Passport or Shark Dive Extreme Experience - what happens?

We are contacting all guests who have booked an experience during the closure period to re-book or arrange a refund. If you have not heard from us, please contact: experiences@melbourneaquarium.com.au
