King Penguin Chicks Enjoy An Egg-Cellent Easter!

The Easter bunny made a special visit to Melbourne Aquarium...

The Easter bunny made a special visit to Melbourne Aquarium’s Antarctica exhibit as Australia’s first Sub-Antarctic King Penguin chicks celebrated their very first Easter.

The sculptured snow bunny hung out with our fluffy newcomers as they enjoyed deliciously fishy Easter treats packed-full of pilchards and whitebait.

Since their arrival, the King Penguin chicks have received nothing but the royal treatment and continue to be closely monitored by keepers.

Keepers are thrilled with the progress of our King Penguin babies, with both chicks rapidly gaining weight and with each day continue to thrive and grow.

Visitors can check out the King Penguin family on the ice in the Antarctica exhibit.
