VCE PROGRAMS:
Underwater Zoo has developed a range of new programs specifically for VCE students.
Biology: Year 12 Options
At Melbourne Aquarium, we understand the time and topic constraints of Unit 3&4 Biology. We can tailor a program to suit your students’ needs depending on the topic being studied. Suggestions include:
-
Fish Forensics: Students explain, using evidence, the hypothetical death of an animal at the aquarium, and make suggestions to avoid the situation being repeated.
-
Fossil Identification: Students predict the taxonomy and ecology of a hypothetical fossil, based on comparisons with living marine animals.

Biology: Marine Diversity
Marine Diversity is designed to address Unit 2 VCE, Area of Study 2, by introducing students to the different taxonomic groups found at Melbourne Aquarium, while comparing and contrasting how different groups of animals function.

Biology and Environmental Science: Creating Environments
Students will analyse the components that make up ecosystems and examine the relationships between the biotic and a-biotic factors within them.
